Save the nation association ( SNA ) is a nonprofit, non-religious, nonpolitical, indigenous development organization established in 2013 and got its license from Ethiopian charities and societies agency on march ,16, 2015 with certificate number 3403 with the vision of preventing children, students, and communities from eminent traffic injury by which reduce property damages and death related to traffic injury. SNA work with partners, stakeholders, donors and sponsors to ensure that campaigns to reduce traffic fatalities on our roads.

The establishment of the Association has its initiation from the founder and Executive Director Mr. Misganaw Bimrew himself is one of the victims of traffic accident as he lost his beloved father due to sudden traffic accident. His father was a pedestrian and while he was walking on the road side in Addis Ababa he was hit by the car named Higer public bus around the place called Megenanea Amche ring road. SNA works on different mitigating and preventing challenges facing vulnerable road users amongst them young people age 5 and more, we facilitate road safety programs to increase knowledge of school children, youth and disabled and visually impaired persons and provide reflector clothes, furthermore Change road use behavior, raising awareness, Advocacy, Lobbying, material support, Financial aid for low income school children, Community Events Outreach, and road safety awareness campaigns, among young people of the extent of death and injury on our roads, and empower vulnerable road users to prevent it through careful use of roads .

Services, Ethiopian Health institutions, and Ethiopian ministry of education, Ethiopian children and women affair office, that is to promote and exercise the road safety campaigns throughout the Country. SNA is committed and fully engaged to expanding road safety education among school children, youth, and drivers, pedestrians, and other segments of the societies around the country.

We co-ordinate all aspects of various road safety campaigns, between our partners and stakeholders, to ensure that the campaigns reach the widest possible audience. With the ever-increasing constraints on budgets, road safety professionals find it harder to meet on statutory obligation to reduce accidents and injuries on our roads. We appeal to well-wishers, supporters, including corporates for important road safety campaigns from the business sector, International non- governmental organizations, sponsorships with carefully selected corporate sponsors who are equally committed to reducing accidents on our roads.

On our campaigns page you will find information on road safety campaigns we have coordinated in partnership with Ministry of Transport Authority , other stakeholders and committed corporate sponsors. We would like to thank those organizations for their untiring work in the continuing fight to reduce fatalities and injuries on our nation’s roads.
